My projects in the marketing@media programme

My first day on the job

Many new friendly faces, new names, hand-shakes, a big welcome bunch of flowers, seating plan, abbreviations and also the question marks in my eyes, circulation, overload of information, numbers, sample mailings – it was really exciting!

Tell us an off-the-wall idea that you sometimes think about: what if…

….I were to grab a pen and write down the fascinating story which is currently in my mind? My book would become a Club- Premiere. My photo would be on the cover of the catalogue, my book would be celebrated in all other international book clubs and I could discover the world on my promotional reading tour.

How I made my way to the media world of DirectGroup

1. 2003: Diploma thesis and cooperation with the Chair of Media Science at the University of Paderborn. I was already familiar with Bertelsmann AG and DirectGroup from working on case studies.
2. 2004: Started in the marketing@media programme with a focus on Eastern Europe. Simultaneous with the eastern enlargement of the EU I joined the DirectGroup.
3. 2005: I gained interesting and formative experience in the dynamic „Wild East“ during my work for the Polish book club.
4. 2006: Berlin calling! It is still the east – but now the east of Berlin. Responsibility as Relationship Marketing Manager in the Current Member Marketing of Der Club Bertelsmann.
5. 2007: I become a “Lottery fairy” Internationalization of lottery products for the book club in Spain and Austria.
